Root canal treatment is necessary
when the nerve of the tooth has become inflamed, damaged, or
infected. This treatment allows us to help you keep your tooth
by removing the damaged nerve and not your tooth. It is our
top priority to see that you maintain your natural teeth for
as long as possible.
A root canal infection may be associated with these symptoms:
Lingering pain; sensitivity to hot and cold, and chewing
or biting
Intense pain that wakes you up at night
A pimple or swelling in the gums that releases pus or blood
upon applying pressure with your finger
Migrating or irradiating pain that starts in one tooth and
spreads to other areas such as your jaw, head, other teeth,
etc.
However, there may be no symptoms. We routinely check your
soft tissues and x-rays for signs of abnormalities that would
go undetected otherwise.
